Two U.S. Tourists stabbed at the Acropolis in Athens

Two tourists, both Greek Americans, were attacked with a knife near the entrance of the Acropolis Museum in Athens on Tuesday.
A 48-year-old woman suffered minor injuries while a 53-year-old man suffered serious injuries to his leg.Both were taken to hospital but are not in danger, according to Greek news agency ANA.
Police arrested the attacker, who is in his 60s. It’s understood he was suffering from psychological problems.
In 2025, 4.6million people visited the Acropolis.
