In 2015, SP-Arte will inaugurate a platform dedicated to performances. PERFORMANCE is a result of a partnership with Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo and is coordinated by Cauê Alves (the curator and coordinator of Belas Artes’ Visual Arts course) and curated by Juliana Moraes (professor at Belas Artes) and Marcos Gallon (curator of theVERBO Performance Art Festival, at Galeria Vermelho). Twelve artists were selected for their performances that will use the Pavilion as their stage, occupying the fair’s aisles, ramp, outdoor areas, as well as a specific performance arena located on the third floor of the Pavilion.
Continuing with a strong program of curated sections, SP-ARTE will also present the installations section, Open Plan, organized by Jacopo Crivelli Visconti. Open plan will be an area dedicated to site-specific works and large installations by well-known artists giving visitors the opportunity to engage directly with the works thanks to its open layout and design.
