Skulptur Projekte Münster 2027: 50th Anniversary Dates Announced

Between June 13 and October 3, 2027, Skulptur Projekte Münster, Germany, will once again transform the urban landscape, inviting visitors to rediscover the city through the lens of public art.

The exhibition, which has been held in Münster every ten years since 1977, will also celebrate its 50th anniversary. The artistic direction of the next edition will be in the hands of the curatorial collective What, How & for Whom / WHW.

Initiated by Klaus Bußmann and Kasper König, Skulptur Projekte Münster has set new standards for art in public spaces over the decades and is also firmly rooted in the urban community. Building on this rich history, the social, cultural, and political upheavals and urgencies of the past decade form the starting point for Skulptur Projekte Münster 2027.

The sixth edition of Skulptur Projekte Münster looks to the future and beyond. It responds to both a city and a world that are at a turning point. Skulptur Projekte Münster 2027 sees itself as an invitation to listen to one another, to learn together, and at the same time to reflect on the relationships this specific place and moment has with others, and the resonances that echo between them. At the heart of Skulptur Projekte Münster 2027 is the poetic, philosophical, and connecting potential of art.
