President Trump launches Freedom 250 to lead America’s 250th Birthday Celebration

President Donald J. Trump announced the launch of Freedom 250, a national, non-partisan organization leading the Administration’s celebration of America’s 250th birthday.

Fulfilling the President’s promise to deliver the most extraordinary commemoration in American history, Freedom 250 will coordinate with the Task Force, federal departments, and the Commission to deliver the defining presidential moments of this anniversary year.

Freedom 250 is a national movement uniting Americans and allies around the world in Celebration of the Triumph of the American Spirit. Its mission is to showcase America at its best — courageous, generous, innovative, beautiful, and free — by mobilizing partners and communities in all 50 states and around the world. Through national programs, storytelling, and landmark events, Freedom 250 aims to spark a movement to honor our history, cherish our freedoms, and build the golden age of opportunity for the next 250 years.

Keith Krach, former Under Secretary of State, technology entrepreneur, and Chairman of the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue, was named the Freedom 250 Chief Executive Officer says: “2026 will mark a celebration of America unlike anything we have ever done and I am grateful to President Trump for the opportunity to execute his vision for Freedom 250,” said Keith Krach, CEO of Freedom 250. “By working alongside states, businesses, and organizations across the country, Freedom 250 will reignite the pioneering spirit that defines America to strengthen the foundation for the next 250 years of independence, opportunity, and freedom.”

The Administration has already commenced historic celebrations to commemorate the 250th birthdays of the Army, the Navy, and the Marine Corps, but there is much more to come. Freedom 250 will continue the celebration with a slate of Signature Moments and National Events that will anchor the yearlong celebration of America’s 250th anniversary in 2026. These landmark events — spanning culture, faith, innovation, sports, and patriotism — will unite Americans across all 50 states and territories in honoring the nation’s past and launching the next chapter of American greatness. Additional announcements will follow.
