New CCTV Footage captures Crown Jewels stolen from Louvre in Underground Parking Garage
The French crown jewels stolen from the Louvre in October were filmed in an underground garage in Paris an hour after the robbery, according to BFMTV, which obtained the CCTV footage.
Following the theft of the jewels from the Louvre on October 19, the four robbers fled south on two scooters. In Ivry-sur-Seine, two of the robbers transferred into a white van that they had apparently left waiting there, while the other two rode their scooters to an underground parking garage in Aubervilliers, in the northeast of Paris.
Later that same day, the white van carrying the other two robbers also entered the same parking garage, but after that, investigators lost the trail. The robbers vanished without a trace, and their parked vehicles were removed a few days later.
