On Sunday, 6 April 2025, Nan Goldin's major solo exhibition at the Neue Nationalgalerie closed with around 225,000 visitors.

On the last weekend alone, with extended opening hours until midnight, around 5,000 people visited the exhibition. After starting in Stockholm and Amsterdam, Berlin was the most visited stop of the exhibition tour so far, which now continues to Milan and Paris.

Klaus Biesenbach, Director of the Neue Nationalgalerie: “We are delighted that the exhibition in Berlin has been received with such overwhelming interest by the public and has received very positive reviews in the international media. It thus joins the ranks of the Neue Nationalgalerie's successful and very well-attended series of exhibitions.”

With around 600,000 visitors, the Neue Nationalgalerie was the most visited art museum in Berlin in 2024. The exhibition Andy Warhol. Velvet Rage and Beauty alone attracted around a quarter of a million visitors.
