Guillaume Cerutti Named President of Château de Versailles

Guillaume Cerutti the former chief of auction house Christie's, has been named as the next president of the Château de Versailles, effective November 9. 

His nomination by French President Emmanuel Macron was announced by government officials. He will start on November 9, replacing Christophe Leribault, who departed in February to lead the Louvre.

“It’s a big comeback. I don’t know how he managed to get the job,” a high-ranking museum figure told Politico. Le Monde described it as “a stunning vindication.”
