Hanz Human is a South African artist currently based in the Philippines. His acrylic paintings are deeply inspired by nature, spirituality, and the emotional connections we share with the world around us.
Guided by mentors like Nancy Reyner and Donelli DiMaria, Hanz Human brings each brushstroke to life—creating landscapes, abstracts, and spiritually inspired works that convey joy, hope, and resilience.
Art has been part of his life since his youth, and in recent years, it has reignited within him in a powerful way. Hanz uses his art to express himself, tell stories, and shed light on the overlooked aspects of life and the challenges people face. Many of his works also reflect his own personal journey, making each piece both unique and heartfelt.
ArtDependence (AD): How does your work reflect your view of the world right now?
Hanz Human: My art mirrors the delicate tension of the times we live in—where chaos and peace often coexist. Through color, texture, and flow, I try to capture the way hope persists even in moments of uncertainty. Each painting is a reminder that renewal and beauty often emerge from challenge, and that we can always find light if we choose to look for it.
AD: What role do you think art plays in connecting people today?
Hanz Human: Art connects us in a way words cannot. It transcends language, culture, and distance, speaking directly to the soul. In a world that often feels divided, art becomes a shared emotional language. When someone stands before a painting and feels something genuine—peace, nostalgia, or even curiosity—it reminds us that we’re all human, all feeling, and all searching for meaning.

AD: Can you tell us the story behind some of your paintings ?
Hanz Human: I chose two of my paintings—“Moonlight Walk in Fall” and “Entwined Paths.”
“Moonlight Walk in Fall” holds a special place in my heart. It was showcased at the ITSLIQUID Group Borders Art Fair in Venice, from July to August 2025, representing the intersection of nature, peace, and reflection. The painting captures a quiet moment beneath autumn trees illuminated by soft moonlight—a visual meditation on transition, serenity, and the silent beauty of change.
“Entwined Paths” reflects the fiery energy of human connection. Its bold, sweeping strokes symbolize how our lives intertwine—sometimes harmoniously, sometimes chaotically—but always with purpose. Together, these works embody balance: the stillness and movement, calm and intensity, that define the human experience.

AD: What message or feeling do you hope viewers take away from your art?
Hanz Human: I hope people feel renewed when they experience my work. My art is a reflection of faith, resilience, and transformation—a reminder that beauty exists even in transition. I want viewers to feel peace, hope, and the quiet assurance that light always finds a way through.
For those who connect with my paintings, I warmly invite you to visit my official website https://www.hanzhuman.com/auctions , where all my original artworks are currently open for auction.
My goal isn’t merely to sell art—it’s to ensure that each piece finds a home where its story and energy can continue to inspire others.
AD: What inspired you to take part in the Art to Collect project?
Hanz Human: I decided to join Art to Collect because I believe art should live beyond the studio—it should breathe in someone’s home, becoming part of their story and daily inspiration. This project allows me to connect directly with people who appreciate authenticity and emotional depth. It’s not just about exhibiting my work; it’s about building a bridge between artist and collector, where each piece finds a space to continue its story.
