Growing Attendance at the Venice Biennale Arte 2026

About 10,000 visitors on the opening day (+10% compared to 2024).

On the first day of public opening, about 10,000 visitors have flocked to the Giardini and Arsenale venues as of 6:00 PM (the Exhibition closes at the Arsenale at 8:00 PM) for the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, titled In Minor Keys by Koyo Kouoh, representing an increase of about 10 % compared to the opening day of Biennale Arte 2024.

A positive outcome was also recorded during the four pre-opening days (May 5–8): there were 27,935 attendees, representing a 4% increase compared to the pre-opening days of 2024.

Regarding the press, 3,733 journalists attended the pre-opening, 2,641 of whom were from the international press (70% of the total).

The 61st International Art Exhibition, titled In Minor Keys by Koyo Kouoh, will remain open to the public until November 22, 2026.
