Getty Brings its Art Collection to the Streets of Paris
Large-scale reproductions of works by Van Gogh, Manet, Cézanne, Caillebotte, and Lawrence Alma-Tadema will appear at prominent locations across Paris this fall.
Beginning October 1, six large-scale reproductions of artworks from the Getty Museum’s collection will be installed at locations across Paris, bringing some of the world’s most celebrated works of art into the city’s public spaces through a partnership between Getty and L’Art dans la Ville. The installations will be on view through November 30, 2026.
The citywide installation brings highlights from Getty’s collection closer to international audiences and is one of several Getty partnerships in France this fall. Coinciding with the 250th anniversary of French and American friendship, the project creates opportunities for Getty’s collection to be seen by Parisians and tourists in dialogue with French museums, cultural institutions, architecture, and everyday urban life.

The six outdoor installations feature a range of artworks in Getty’s collection, including Vincent van Gogh’s “Irises” and Gustave Caillebotte’s “Young Man at His Window,” alongside paintings by Édouard Manet, Paul Cézanne, and Lawrence Alma-Tadema. Each reproduction has been paired with a distinctive Paris location, creating new encounters with art beyond the walls of a museum.
