The General Authority for Antiquities and Museums Yemen published today a new list of looted Yemeni artifacts.
The authority indicated that the 53 looted items are currently displayed at the Museum of Islamic Art in Kuwait.
The statement pointed out that this list is the 27th issued by the authority as part of its ongoing efforts to monitor and track Yemeni archaeological pieces exhibited in auctions and museums abroad.
The General Authority for Antiquities called on international bodies concerned to halt such auctions due to their violation of international laws related to this matter and to restore the rights to their rightful owners. It urged anyone with information about looted artifacts or sites to come forward and contact the authority through its official social media pages.
