Fire breaks out at Brussels Museum Kanal-Centre Pompidou
A fire has broken out at the Kanal-Centre Pompidou museum in Brussels. The fire department is on the scene and has already managed to extinguish most of the fire. According to the fire department, no one was present in the building at the time of the fire.
The fire department received a call about the fire around 6:00 PM. The plume of smoke is visible from the center of Brussels all the way to Molenbeek. Several small explosions could also reportedly be heard in the area.
Firefighters rushed to the scene, and the fire has since been brought under control. As of yet, the extent of any potential damage remains unknown.It remains to be seen if the incident will impact the museum's highly anticipated grand opening, which is firmly planned for November 28.
