Colors 2026: Curatone.art Announces Competition Results
Curatone.art has announced the results of Colors 2026, its international juried art competition. Artists from 27 countries submitted 485 works. The jury selected 79 for the online exhibition and gave awards to three artists.
The competition asked artists to make colour central to the work. Among the finalists are paintings built around strong contrasts, quieter studies of closely related tones, and works in which colour draws attention to a material or a detail. The selection includes watercolour, sculpture, printmaking, photography, digital art and mixed media.
Each submission was evaluated for originality, technique, composition and its interpretation of the theme. The 17-member jury brought together artists, designers and creative professionals from the United States, Canada, Ukraine, Argentina, South Korea, Latvia and Brazil. The 79 finalists represent 16.3% of the works submitted.
Award winners
Platinum Award (Grand Prize): Isabella Zhang, United States. Zhang received the competition’s highest score for Echoes in Every Stitch, made with watercolour and coloured pencil. Two of her other watercolours, Homebound and The Littles are Watching, were also selected for the exhibition.
Gold Award: Flora White, Canada. White received the Gold Award for her acrylic painting The Little Flower Seller. Her second finalist work, Freedom of Expression, is also on view.
Silver Award: Sienna Shores, United States. Shores received the Silver Award for Helaena, an acrylic painting. Her work Marianna was selected as a finalist too.
The awarded works will remain in the Curatone.art winners archive, and each artist will receive a numbered certificate with the jury’s credentials.
In the exhibition
The finalists approached the theme through a wide range of materials. Muchuan (United Kingdom) presents the sculpture Just a Streak of Fluorescence Passing. Davleta (Italy) uses white cement and 24K gold leaf in two wall reliefs, Passione and Esplosione. Michael Wagner (Germany) contributes photographs from his Tales of Colors and Imagination series.
The exhibition also includes transparent watercolours by Noa (Taiwan), Tatjana Danilović’s (Serbia) monotype Sunrise, and You’ll Understand When You Grow Up, a work combining photography and collage by Diana Muminova (Kazakhstan). Tatyana Boyanova Bobeva (Cent) (Bulgaria) presents the acrylic miniature There Was a Living Valley in Nepal...
Artists from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Hungary, Iran, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Norway, Finland, Israel, the UAE, South Korea, the Philippines and South Africa are also represented. Artists from the United States and Canada make up the largest group.

Catalogue and documentation
An exhibition catalogue is available as a free digital edition and as a printed edition on Amazon. Finalists receive documentation confirming their selection. The exhibition protocol and jury report are published alongside the results.
