Charity Raffle offers Picasso Portrait for 100 Euros a Ticket

An international charity raffle to raise funds for research into Alzheimer’s disease is set to hand one lucky winner an original Picasso gouache on paper worth over one million euros, organisers said Tuesday.

A total of 120,000 tickets will be sold online at 100 euros each, with the ceremony to award the gouache set to be livestreamed from auction house Christie’s in Paris on April 14.

Tickets are on sale at www.1picasso100euros.com with the sale backed by Picasso’s family and foundation.

The gouache is a portrait of Dora Maar, one of Picasso’s muses, produced by the artist in 1941 and titled “Tête de femme” (“Woman’s head”).
