The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam has been overwhelmed by a large number of Pokémon fans over the week-end.
The special promo cards associated with a Pokémon scavenger hunt in the museum have proven to be very popular among enthusiasts of the TV and game series. Social media footage shows people even pushing and pulling to acquire as many exclusive products as possible.
The museum, in honor of its 50th anniversary, had partnered with The Pokémon Company. Visitors can view special Pokémon paintings inspired by the work of the Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh. However, among fans, there is particular attention on a special promo card that is being distributed for free. It features Pikachu in the style of Van Gogh's self-portrait.
Due to the limited supply and high demand, these cards are currently being offered for hundreds of euros on various online stores. Currently, all products from the collection are sold out, but new cards may become available at a later time.
