Palistinian Artists announce" Gaza Biennale"

Since April 2024, the Forbidden Museum, founded by artists in Palestine, has been developing exhibitions with over 40 artists in Gaza, who have been working against all odds throughout this war.

Their experiences have led to profound reflections about art and life, resulting in heroic attempts to address realities that concern them all.  Ongoing discussions between the artists and the Museum have led to a collective endeavor called the Gaza Biennale: a global art event with an urgent message.

The Gaza Biennale is about placing a people's struggle at the forefront of the artistic endeavor.  It is an intervention in the world of art that breaks with standard exhibition procedures.  Their divergence reflects the urgency and exceptionality of the situation.

Additional funding for the artists, which will allow them to officially launch the biennale and find partners to host their exhibitions is needed. The organisers are now seeking additional support from foundations, businesses, institutions, and individuals.
