Three Nominees for the 2023 Lottery Museum Prize in the Netherlands

The Museum Jan Cunen, Nederlands Fotomuseum and Wereldmuseum Amsterdam have been nominated for the 2023 Lottery Museum Prize. These three museums will compete for the most votes from the public.

The public can vote until November 3, 2023, through www.museumprijs.nl/genomineerden. The winning museum will receive 100,000 euros to realize its museum dream.

This year, the prize focuses on 'Old Collections, New Stories.' The (art) objects you see in museums have been carefully curated over the years and tell the museum's story. How do museums ensure that their collection remains current? How do they tell new stories and provide space for changing perspectives? The winner will be announced on Thursday, November 9, during the Museum Congress in Zwolle.
