In Ukraine, Odesa Fine Arts Museum with the support of Artwhale.io invites art admirers and collectors to become a friend of museum. Using the potential of new technologies, the Odesa Fine Arts Museum launches the nft.ofam.org.ua project that aims to preserve and demonstrate to the world its unique collections.
Ornamented with the works of prominent Ukrainian artists, Kandynsky, Zhuk, Holovkov, the unique NFT Friend Passes are issued to support the digitization and preservation of museum collections, which in 2022 became threatened as the result of brutal russian war against Ukraine.
Friend Passes for 2023 will allow people to visit the museum both in Odesa and online via video-tours, check-in, get rewards and benefits, become whitelisted for new drops of digital assets, and later - enter museum exhibitions in Metaverse. The Odesa Fine Arts Museum is one of the leaders of the museum in Ukraine. The museum team showed how in just 5 years it is possible to create a reliable circle of support from patrons, philanthropists, and museum visitors who would protect the interests of the museum in any situation. This is one of the most dynamic museums in Ukraine, even during the war.
It is symbolic that Odesa Fine Arts Museum was opened in 1899 also with the support of the patrons. 123 years after, people who care about art and its fate unite to help the museum preserve its unique collection and popularize Ukrainian and Odesa art among citizens and on the international stage. Today, OFAM calls for international patrons to back the museum team with innovative tools of utility NFTs. The digital Pass serves as a key to get access to services and rewards for support of the museum on nft.ofam.org.ua platform created by Artwhale.
With this campaign, the team starts building a multicultural community around OFAM which will further evolve into DAO. The profits will ignite the process of 3D scanning hundreds of artworks, including conserved and evacuated ones, together with those which were long hidden in the storage.
Digitization of museum collections has the potential to revolutionize the way we engage with history and culture. By breaking down traditional barriers to access and creating new opportunities for engagement, Odesa Fine Arts Museum, aims to reach more people and promote cultural understanding on a global scale. Patrons of the arts can also contribute to the long-term success of museum. The role of patrons of the art museum is crucial to the preservation and continuation of cultural heritage. Their support enables museums to showcase the beauty and richness of art, provide educational opportunities, and contribute to the cultural enrichment of society. By
